Job summary

Hippo Waste Ltd. is seeking an HGV Collections Driver to join our national operation. You will load waste at various addresses, ensure secure loading, and deliver to designated sites while adhering to company policies.

The role requires a valid Cat C licence, CPC and Digi-Tacho, and previous HGV2 experience; a Hiab ticket is a bonus. We offer a 48-hour week, with a 15% bonus scheme and parking on-site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence with Cat C.
• Valid CPC and Digi-Tacho.
• Previous HGV2 driving experience, ideally 26T.
• Hiab ticket is desirable but not essential.
• Previous work in a Builders Merchant is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load waste onto the truck at residential and business addresses.
• Ensure all bags are securely loaded and delivered to waste sites.
• Complete on-site administration required for each collection.
• Maintain contact with Transport Team to coordinate services.
• Provide face-to-face customer service during collections.

48hr working week, Monday - Friday

Working for a national company with depots around the UK, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the collection service runs smoothly and in line with company policies.

What you will be doing as an HGV Collections Driver

• Loading waste onto truck at residential and business addresses.
• Ensuring all waste bags collected, are securely loaded and safely delivered to designated waste sites.
• Completing all administration required at job sites.
• Keeping in contact with Transport Team to ensure services are carried out in a timely manner.
• Face to face customer service.

Ideal experience and qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK Driving licence with Category C
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho
• Previous HGV2 driving experience, ideally 26T
• If you have used a crane or have a Hiab ticket, this is desirable but not essential.
• Previous work within a Builders Merchant would be useful for this role but again not essential.
