Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd in West Devon is seeking an experienced Class C Driver / Loader to join our recycling and municipal collections team. You will drive Class C vehicles, load with the crew, and help keep the local community clean and safe.

You will lead a small crew, conduct daily vehicle checks, and ensure routes are completed efficiently while maintaining high safety standards and good communication with colleagues and the public.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class C Licence and Driver Qualification Card (CPC) required.
• Physically fit for regular manual handling.
• Reliable, team player with good communication and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Driving & Loading: Safely operating Class C vehicles and sweepers, while helping the crew with collections when needed.
• Crew & Vehicle Lead: Taking responsibility for your vehicle, keeping your crew safe, and running your route efficiently.
• Daily Checks: Ensuring vehicle is mechanically safe, roadworthy, and legally compliant before heading out.
• Safety First: Following basic Health & Safety rules, wearing PPE, and reporting any vehicle faults or hazards.

Are you an experienced HGV driver looking for a steady role with great earning potential? Join our team in West Devon!

We're looking for a Class C Driver / Loader to handle local recycling, municipal collection, and sweeper duties. You'll be leading a crew, keeping the local community clean, and ensuring the work is done safely and efficiently.

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: £15.12 per hour
• Basic Annual Salary: £31,449 per year
• Overtime: Great opportunities for extra pay on top of your basic salary.
• Shift Times: Early morning starts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM.

What You'll Be Doing

• Driving & Loading: Safely operating Class C vehicles and sweepers, while helping the crew with collections when needed.
• Crew & Vehicle Lead: Taking responsibility for your vehicle, keeping your crew safe, and running your route efficiently.
• Daily Checks: Making sure your vehicle is mechanically safe, roadworthy, and legally compliant before heading out.
• Safety First: Following basic Health & Safety rules, wearing provided PPE, and reporting any vehicle faults or hazards.
