Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Driver Operative in Bedford to join a busy waste management operation. The role covers UK-wide collections, site clearances, and ongoing customer service responsibilities with Monday to Friday shifts.

The package includes a salary of £40,000 to £47,500 per year, a monthly performance bonus up to £500, 28 days holiday, and company-funded ADR training after probation, with parking and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Holder of Category C (Class 2) licence.
• Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally 2 years' commercial driving experience.
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles from 3.5-tonne vans up to 18-tonne lorries.
• Collect waste from commercial customers across the UK.
• Help with site clearances and waste removal projects.
• Load and unload waste containers and equipment.
• Complete transport and waste paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and work safely.

Hours: Monday to Friday only, no weekends

Main Duties

• Drive vehicles from 3.5-tonne vans up to 18-tonne rigid lorries.
• Collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste from commercial customers across the UK.
• Help with site clearances and waste removal projects.
• Load and unload waste containers and electrical equipment.
• Complete transport and waste paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and work safely at all times.

Requirements

• Category C (Class 2) licence.
