Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced LGV C+E Driver for day shifts in the LE12 area. The role involves transporting full loads to various national locations with curtain-sided vehicles, returning to the depot with an empty trailer, and minimal handball.

Typical start times are 05:30 for day shifts and 17:30 for night shifts. A valid CE licence, age 21+, and up to six penalty points are required; 6 months of driving experience is expected.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with category CE entitlement.
• Minimum age 21.
• Minimum 6 months experience in driving roles.
• No more than 6 current penalty points on licence.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Check the vehicle regularly and report any issues.
• Drive safely and follow all traffic laws.
• Deliver goods on time, in full and to the correct address.
• Communicate politely with customers.
• Keep records of deliveries, mileage and issues.
• Report delays, accidents, or problems to the site manager.

Job description

Our client based in LE12 are looking for LGV C+E Drivers on Days. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting full loads directly to various National locations. Your role involves delivering these goods using curtain sided vehicles, then returning to the depot with an empty trailer. There is no handball required for this role and usually 1 - 2 drops.

Shift start time Days: Typically 05:30am

Shift start time Nights: Typically 17:30pm
