Job summary

Veolia ES (UK) in Northampton is seeking a driver to join our expanding fleet. You will drive to planned collection points, move and empty waste containers, and perform daily vehicle checks, with 4am starts and a 48-hour week.

Applicants must hold an HGV Class 2 licence and CPC/Digi card, plus strong time management and teamwork. We offer 22 days leave, a pension scheme, wellbeing resources, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Essential: HGV Class 2 Driving Licence
• Essential: CPC / Digi card
• Essential: Time management and a can-do attitude
• Desirable: Experience in the Waste Industry

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
