Job summary

Veolia UK is seeking a driver based in Durham to join our fleet supporting waste collection and disposal operations. The role requires 48 hours per week, with a 4am start and a finish around 14:00, Monday to Friday.

You will handle scheduled collections, log data, and maintain vehicle documentation to ensure compliant operations. The ideal candidate holds a Class 2 (Cat C) license, CPC, and Digi/Tachograph credentials, with desirable experience in waste operations such as RORO or skip work.

Qualifications

• Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) license
• Essential: Up to date CPC
• Essential: Digi / Tachograph Card
• Desirable: Previous waste management experience
• Desirable: RORO and Skip experience

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
