Job summary

Veolia is seeking a dedicated driver in Telford to operate planned collection routes, loading and unloading waste containers as required. You will maintain accurate daily paperwork, perform vehicle checks, and ensure compliance with traffic laws and load weight limitations.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and experience in waste operations. It offers a 48-hour week, with a pay package including a weekly pay cycle and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Essential HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Up to date CPC.
• Digi / Tachograph Card.
• Prior experience in the waste industry.
• Good local geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
