Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 night drivers to support a client in Nursling on an ongoing basis. Temp-to-perm opportunities may arise for suitable candidates. Start date is ASAP with a 4-on/4-off pattern, and shifts start between 00:00 and 03:00.

Basic pay rate is £17.75 per hour (PAYE). Full training is provided, with a site induction and two accompanied route shifts. Induction and training shifts are unpaid if the assignment is not completed.

Qualifications

• Experience driving Class 2 vehicles at night preferred.
• Comfortable with late-night/early-morning shifts.
• Commitment to training and completing assigned routes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bread directly to customers on a set route across southern regions.
• Manage 6–12 drops per shift depending on route; secure loads.
• Return empty baskets and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Role Overview

Pertemps are recruiting experienced Class 2 nights Drivers to support our Client in Nursling on an ongoing basis. Temp-to-perm opportunities are available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering bread direct to customers on a set route across the southern regions
• 6 – 12 drops per shift (depending on route)
• Securing the loads.
• Return empty baskets.

New Drivers will receive a site induction of up to 4 hours, covering:

• A minimum of two accompanied route-learning shifts.
• Additional training shifts if required before working independently.

Please note that induction and training shifts are not paidif a driver fails to complete the agreed assignment.

Requirements:

• Candidates who are comfortable working night or early morning shifts.
• Reliable drivers with a strong attendance record.
• Drivers who understand multi-drop delivery work and are committed to completing the training process.
