Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for a Class 2 Night Driver based in Nursling, near Southampton. You will join an established food distribution client on a temp-to-perm contract with potential for permanent employment.

Shifts run early mornings with 8–10 hour days, 28-week rolling rota, and overtime paid on weekends and bank holidays. You should have a full Cat C licence, CPC, and Digi Card, plus Class 2 experience driving rigid vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full Cat C licence with CPC & Digi Card.
• Class 2 driving experience with rigid vehicles preferred.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Reliable and professional attitude needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bread to a variety of customers in the SO area.
• Unload goods via tail lift into supermarket delivery areas.
• Conduct vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Maintain clear communication and flexibility with finish times.

CLASS 2 NIGHT DRIVER - NURSLING

The Best Connection is currently recruiting Class 2 HGV Drivers for an established food distribution client based in Nursling. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Salary - £18.50 / £20.50 per hour

Location - Nursling, Southampton

Start time - Early AM

Details of the role:

• Working on a temp to perm contract, Subject to passing trail period you will become a permanent member of staff
• The shifts are early AM start between 01:00am-02:00am, average working shift is 8-10 hrs
• This role is working on a 28-week rolling rota, working 4 days on and 2 days off
• Paying between £18.50-£20.50 per hour with an 8 hour minimum shift
• Overtime paid on weekends and bank holidays
• You will be delivering Bread to a variety of customers around the SO area
• All products are stacked in cages and offloaded via tail lift into the supermarket delivery area
• New passes welcome, with 3-6 months class 2 commercial driving experience
• Drivers must have good communication skills and be willing be to be flexible with finish times
• Vehicle checks before and after each shift
