Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 night drivers for our client in Nursling on an ongoing basis. Temp-to-perm opportunities exist for suitable candidates.

The role involves delivering bread on a set route across the southern regions, with 6–12 drops per shift, securing loads, and returning empty baskets. Shifts start between 00:00 and 03:00, on a 4-on/4-off pattern, with a PAYE rate of £17.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Night or early morning shift availability required.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries preferred.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bread directly to customers on a set route across southern regions.

New Drivers will receive a site induction of up to 4 hours, covering:

• A minimum of two accompanied route-learning shifts.
• Additional training shifts if required before working independently.

Please note that induction and training shifts arenot paidif a driver fails to complete the agreed assignment.

Requirements

• Candidates who are comfortable working night or early morning shifts.
• Reliable drivers with a strong attendance record.
• Drivers who understand multi-drop delivery work and are committed to completing the training process.
