Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd in Ilkeston is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for ongoing temporary weekday roles. You will perform deliveries and collections across allocated routes, conduct vehicle checks, and maintain safe, on-time loads while representing the company to customers.

Applicants should hold a UK HGV Class 2 licence with CPC and tachograph card, be able to work independently, and deliver a professional service. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Job Description

We’re currently looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join an established operation in Ilkeston. This is a great opportunity for a reliable driver looking for regular weekday work, consistent daytime shifts and customer-facing deliveries.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for completing a mixture of deliveries and collections across your allocated routes.

You’ll work independently throughout the day, ensuring goods are transported safely and deliveries are completed within the required timeframes.

The role will involve:

Carrying out vehicle checks

Ensuring loads are transported safely

Managing your own schedule and workload

Dealing directly with customers

Providing a professional and friendly service

You’ll need to be confident working independently and comfortable representing the company when dealing with customers.
