Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking HGV2 drivers to operate from Derby for a temporary, ongoing role. Shift starts 06:00–08:00, 8–10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, delivering food and groceries across the East Midlands. PAYE £16/hour or umbrella £19/hour; 28 days holiday pro rata. Closing 26/10/2026. Visa sponsorship not available.

Candidate should have 1 year Class 2 experience, valid digital tacho card, CPC, and up to 6 points on licence. This position is open to UK applicants only.

Qualifications

• 1 year Class 2 experience; valid digital tacho card and CPC; no more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and groceries to businesses across the East Midlands.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to commercial customers.
• Load and unload goods, including handballing.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Complete all relevant delivery paperwork.

HGV2 Drivers required immediately out of Derby, weekly pay and umbrella rate for those interested.

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to work for a cash and carry in Derby, delivering food and grocery products to businesses across the East Midlands. This is a great opportunity for reliable, hardworking drivers who enjoy a varied role and are comfortable with both driving and physical work.

Duration: Temporary work but ongoing for the right driver

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £16 PAYE or £19 through an umbrella provider.You accrue holiday up to 28 days pro rataWe are unable to offer visa sponsorships for this position.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, start times from 06:00-08:00, 8–10-hour shifts
