Job summary

Driver Require Ltd is recruiting for ongoing, full-time Class 2 Drivers based in Tamworth. You will be responsible for driving Class 2 lorries to customer locations, performing daily vehicle checks and basic minor repairs where needed.

You will strap loads securely, liaise with customers and the Transport Team, and manage driving time to avoid infringements. Nights out may be required during assignments.

Qualifications

• 12 months Class 2 driving experience required.
• Strapping and loading experience needed.
• Be mindful of vehicles when driving to customer sites, e.g. tight spaces.
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10s).

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks for assigned jobs.
• Complete minor repairs where possible.
• Report damage or wear to Transport Team.
• Ensure load is strapped down and secured.
• Drive Class 2 lorry to customer locations and liaise with customers.
• Liaise with Transport Team to update status and whereabouts.
• Manage driving time to avoid infringements.
• Nights out may be needed.

Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing, full-time work with one of our prestigious clients based in Tamworth.

The role as an Class 2 driver will include:

• Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned for a job.
• Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so.
• Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
• Ensuring the load is strapped down
• Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from their customer locations
• Handballing required - no dirty work
• Liaising with Customers
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
• Nights out maybe needed

Class 2 Driver requirements:

• Must have 12 months Class 2 Driver experience
