Job summary

Driver Require are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing, full-time work in Tamworth, England. The role offers Monday to Friday shifts with start times between 4:00 and 06:00 and weekly pay. You will drive a Class 2 lorry, perform vehicle checks, strap loads, and liaise with customers and the transport team to ensure timely deliveries.

Occasional nights out may be required. Onsite parking is available and subsidised onsite canteen is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months Class 2 Driver experience.
• Strapping and loading experience needed.
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions.
• Onsite parking.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned.
• Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary.
• Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team.
• Ensuring the load is strapped down.
• Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from customer locations.
• Handballing as required.
• Liaising with Customers and Transport Team.
• Managing driving time to avoid infringements.
• Nights out may be needed.

The role as an Class 2 driver will include:

• Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned for a job.
• Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so.
• Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
• Ensuring the load is strapped down
• Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from their customer locations
• Handballing required - no dirty work
• Liaising with Customers
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don’t acquire infringements.
• Nights out maybe needed

Class 2 Driver requirements:

• Must have 12 months Class 2 Driver experience
• Strapping and loading experience needed
• Be mindful of the vehicles when driving to customer eg fitting into tight spaces
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions(DD/DR/IN10's)
