Pertemps Birmingham Commercial is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a leading food distribution company in Tamworth. The role offers shifts starting between 03:00 and 07:00 for days or 20:00 to 00:00 for nights, with 1–2 drops daily and minimal handball.

Ongoing work with competitive hourly rates and overtime premiums. You will deliver to supermarkets and complete all relevant paperwork and vehicle checks, ensuring timely deliveries and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Previous RDC work experience desirable.
• Comfortable with paperwork.
• Good customer service and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Local or distance deliveries to Regional Distribution centres.
• 1 to 2 drops or collections daily.

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a leading food distribution company in Tamworth.

This temporary contract offers £16.95 to £21.36 per hour, dependent on shift and overtime.

The role involves delivering to supermarkets via curtain sider or box vehicles, with minimal handball and an average of one to two drops and collections daily.

Shifts run Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday, with day starts between 03:00 and 07:00 or night starts between 20:00 and 00:00.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of a leading food distribution company based in the Tamworth area.

This is an ongoing role delivering to supermarkets on a regular shift pattern.

The Role:

• Local or Distance bay deliveries to Regional Distribution centres.


• 1 to 2 drops or collections on a daily basis


• Start times on days between 03:00 & 07:00hrs and start times on Nights between 20:00 & 00:00hrs


• Minimal Handball


• Regular shift pattern on Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday


• Ensuring timely and professional deliveries to customers


• Completing all relevant paperwork and vehicle checks

Pay Rates: £16.95 per hour on Days £18.81 per hour on Nights Overtime premiums and weekend rates between £18.31 and £21.36 per hour

HGV Class 1 Driver – Tamworth £16.95 to £21.36 per hour based on Overtime and shift pattern.
