Job summary

Driver Hire Oxford is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our transport team in Bicester. Immediate start with up to 4 nights out and a night allowance. Full-time / Temp-to-Perm, with PAYE at £16.50 per hour and weekly pay.

Deliver pre-pack kitchen furniture to trade customers and retailers across multiple drops while maintaining safety and efficiency. The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, CPC, and Tachograph card, along with good communication and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility with working hours and routes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (7.5-32 tonne) vehicle to deliver pre-pack kitchen furniture to trade customers, retailers, and delivery points.
• 3 to 4 drops
• Plan and follow efficient, multi-drop delivery routes
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
• Load and unload boxed kitchen units and furniture safely, using manual handling techniques and appropriate equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, tail lifts)

Role Overview
