Job summary

Panda is hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for the Widnes depot to operate skip and RoRo vehicles, delivering and collecting containers across local sites. You will perform daily checks, maintain safety compliance, and provide excellent on-site customer service.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card, with prior HGV experience in waste management. Expect a 6am start, occasional Saturdays, and full-time work with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience driving HGVs, ideally in waste management.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations and compliance.
• Reliable, professional with strong teamwork.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused attitude.
• Flexibility for 6am starts and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivering, exchanging, and collecting containers across customer sites.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and road laws.
• Working safely at all times and following site, transport and road regulations.
• Providing a professional and helpful service to customers on site.
• Supporting the wider transport and depot team at Widnes site.
