Job summary

Bestway Group in Leeds is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. You will deliver orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring on-time, safe, and compliant deliveries while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) UK licence, CPC, and Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport regulations.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable with strong communication.

• Commitment to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.
• Work with the depot team to ensure all orders are loaded correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately and customer payments are received where required.
• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure PPE is used correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for both the vehicle and depot.
• Ensure all transport compliance documentation is maintained in accordance with company guidelines.
