Job summary

Bestway Group in Birmingham is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries from our hub to customers, ensuring on-time, safe, and compliant service.

This role requires a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK licence, CPC, and tachograph card, plus strong timekeeping, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work well with depot teams and drivers.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK licence, CPC and Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries in the local area, ensuring on-time arrival.
• Coordinate with the depot team to ensure orders are loaded correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and collect payments where required.
• Drive responsibly with full compliance to laws and company rules.
• Perform daily vehicle checks; report defects and maintain records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries following company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for vehicle and depot areas.
• Ensure transport compliance documents are maintained as required.
