Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Driver based at our Tilbury depot. You will load, deliver and collect rental pump and power equipment for customer sites, ensuring timely, professional service and proper hire administration.

Candidates must hold a UK HGV Class 2 licence with a valid Tachograph card and CPC, with HIAB training ideally provided. A strong focus on safety, service, and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in loading, delivering and collecting equipment.
• Full UK HGV Class 2 licence and valid Digital Tachograph card.
• CPC valid, minimum 3 months remaining before expiring.
• HIAB licence preferred; full training will be provided.
• Understanding Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect rental pump and power equipment to customer sites in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete all checks and administration involved for the hire accurately.
• Drive safely and legally at all times.
• Work from the Tilbury depot and travel to customer sites as required.

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

About the role

The role of the HGV Driver involves loading, delivering and collecting rental pump and power equipment to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner whilst driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times. The HGV Driver must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately.

Please note this role will be based out of our depot in Tilbury and therefore candidates should be suitably located.

About You

• Significant experience working within an HGV driving role loading, delivering and collecting equipment to/from customer sites
• Full UK HGV Class 2 driving licence and valid Digital Tachograph card are essential
• Valid CPC, ideally with minimum 3 months remaining before expiring
• Ideally hold HIAB licence but full training will be provided
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
