Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 UK driving licence is required.
• CPC and Digi Tacho Card required.
• Previous Class 2 HGV driving experience essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach.
• ADR licence is advantageous for waste collection.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily customer collections, deliveries and service visits.
• Safely load, transport, unload and exchange waste containers and products.
• Collect and transport non-hazardous and hazardous waste streams.
• Carry out basic servicing and maintenance of equipment with training provided.
• Complete vehicle, equipment and site checks to ensure safe operation.
• Identify and report issues, risks or maintenance needs.
• Provide professional customer service at customer sites.
• Record jobs, service details and route information using tablets.

Class 2 HGV Driver £16.00£17.00 per hour

Location: Southampton
Start Time: 7:00am
Pay Rate: £16.00£17.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our clients team in the Southampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for a long-term role with a well-established company.

The role combines customer deliveries, waste collections and equipment servicing, with regular customer interaction and a strong focus on safety and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily customer collections, deliveries and service visits.

• Safely load, transport, unload and exchange waste containers and products.

• Collect and transport a range of waste streams, including non-hazardous and hazardous waste.

• Carry out basic servicing and maintenance of equipment, with training provided.

• Complete vehicle, equipment and site checks to ensure safe operation.

• Identify and report any issues, risks or maintenance requirements.

• Provide professional and friendly customer service at customer sites.

• Complete approximately 911 customer visits per day.

• Use tablets and digital systems to record jobs, service information and route details.

• Work closely with the Branch Manager and customers to ensure all requirements are met.

• Follow all company procedures relating to health, safety, waste handling and compliance.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence.

• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card.

• Previous Class 2 HGV driving experience is essential.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.

• Comfortable working independently and visiting multiple customer sites.

• ADR licence is advantageous, particularly for the waste collection aspect of the role.
