Pertemps Bond is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-to-perm role based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will complete multi-drop deliveries of refrigerated food, driving 10-tonne and 5-tonne vehicles with occasional van work. The role involves customer-facing deliveries and may include London routes.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with day starts from 6:30am. The advertised rate is £15.50 per hour PAYE, negotiable by experience, and the Class 2 rate applies to all hours worked.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence held as a must.
• At least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience.
• Driver CPC and tachograph card required.
• Confident delivering to stores and customers.

Pertemps is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Stratford-upon-Avon, completing multi-drop deliveries of refrigerated food to stores.

You’ll drive a mixture of 10-tonne and 5-tonne vehicles, with occasional van work depending on delivery requirements. The Class 2 hourly rate applies to all hours worked, including van driving.

This role would suit a reliable driver who enjoys customer-facing delivery work and is comfortable driving in London.

The role

• Complete multi-drop deliveries of refrigerated food to stores.
• Drive 10-tonne and 5-tonne vehicles, with occasional van work.
• Complete routes that may include London.
• Handle goods carefully and follow refrigerated delivery procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with customers and the transport team.
• Follow drivers’ hours, tachograph and road safety requirements.

Hours and pay

• Monday to Friday, with flexibility around the five-day working pattern potentially available.
• Day shifts, with start times from 6:30am.
• £15.50 per hour PAYE, negotiable depending on experience.
• Class 2 rate paid for all hours worked, regardless of vehicle driven.
• Temp-to-perm assignment, offering the opportunity for a permanent position.

What you’ll need

• A valid Category C / HGV Class 2 licence.
• At least 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience.
