Job summary

Empowered Personnel Ltd is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm position based in Stratford-upon-Avon. The role involves multi-drop deliveries with 5–12 drops daily across local routes and occasional London work.

You will operate 10- and 5-ton vehicles, with potential occasional van duties, maintaining the base hourly rate for all shifts. Full-time hours with some part-time options available, Monday to Friday, plus weekend overtime at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Minimum of six months' relevant driving experience.
• Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Class 2 vehicles and completing deliveries.
• Completing approximately 5-12 drops per day.
• Delivering to various locations, including some areas of London.
• Loading and unloading goods, including manual handling and handballing where required.
• Using a tail lift and pump truck for palletised deliveries.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and professionally.
• Maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and customer service.

Class 2 HGV Driver - Temp to Perm

Location: Stratford Upon Avon

Pay: £15.50 per hour

Weekend Overtime: £20.61 per hour

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Working pattern: Full-time - Monday to Friday.

Part-time options: Available with Monday, Wednesday and Friday as the core working days.

Empowered Personnel are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HGV Driver on behalf of our client based in Stratford upon Avon. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering full-time employment, with part-time hours also available for suitable candidates.

The successful candidate will undertake multi-drop deliveries, operating a range of vehicles, including 10-tonne and 5-tonne vehicles. Deliveries will be made to various locations, including some areas of London. Occasional van driving may also be required, with the Class 2 hourly rate maintained for all hours worked, regardless of vehicle type.
