Jewson is recruiting a qualified Area HGV Class 2 Driver for St Ives with HIAB training provided. You will deliver building materials to customers, operate a crane, and support branch teams across Huntingdon, St Neots, Spalding, Stamford, Cambridge and Royston.

Induction at our training academy is fully funded and travel/subsistence are paid. The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi Tachograph card.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card required.
• Multidrop experience is handy but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Deliver building materials to customers as a professional, friendly face of Jewson.
• Load and unload goods; operate the crane and assist team members as needed.
• Cover absence within a designated area and across a cluster of branches.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Aylesbury branch and required to cover a cluster of branches. These branches are; Huntingdon, St Neots, Spalding, Stamford, Cambridge & Royston.

You’ll be paid travel and subsistence.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
