Job summary

Cleansing Service Group Limited is hiring for a permanent, full-time HGV driver at the Sealand - Saltash location. You will operate a modern vehicle, service domestic and commercial sites, and join a supportive team with development opportunities.

With 40 hours weekly plus overtime, the role includes an attractive benefits package and long-term employment security. Training is provided where needed, with a focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and committed to delivering quality customer service.
• HGV Class 2 licence.
• Digi-card and current CPC qualification.
• Experience in the waste management industry desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Experienced HGV driver who enjoys working independently.

Responsibilities

• Visit domestic customers and collect sewage waste.
• Operate the tanker with safety awareness.
• Support the on-call rota and out-of-hours work.
• Work with transport depot to service long-serving customers.
• Visit commercial premises and carry out site drainage cleansing.

• Call-out payments: (£63.60 - Monday - Friday inclusive.) (£79.75 - Saturdays & Sundays only.)

Role Accountabilities

• Your own modern vehicle with back up from centre engineering, and a vehicle investment programme of over £4m per year.
• Visiting and building good relationships with our domestic customers and collecting sewage waste.
• Helping our customers with advice and guidance on the operation of the waste system.
• Operating our tanker with skill and necessary safety awareness.
• Forming part of our on-call rota, completing out of hours emergency work.
• Working together with our transport depot to deliver excellent service to our long serving customers.
• Visiting our commercial customer premises, collecting industrial waste, and carrying out site drainage cleansing, including channels, gullies, and interceptors

The Candidate

• Enthusiastic and committed to delivering quality customer service.
• HGV class 2 licence.
• Digi-card and current CPC qualification.
• Experience in the waste management industry desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Experienced HGV driver who enjoys working independently.
