Job summary

Jewson Northampton is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB training provided. You will deliver building materials to customers with professionalism, load and unload, and operate the crane as required.

You’ll support team members and adapt to a varied daily route across assigned branches in the region. You will cover absence within a designated area, joining the Northampton branch and potentially serving Market Harborough, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Rushden and Bedford.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence mandatory.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card required.
• HIAB training provided is a benefit for the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers with professionalism.
• Load and unload merchandise and operate the crane when required.
• Support team members and adapt to a varied daily route within the designated area.
• Cover absence within the specified area for Jewson Northampton branch cluster.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we'll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you'll do, to where you will be delivering. You'll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Northampton branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Market Harborough, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Rushden and Bedford.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it's not a necessity
