Job summary

HRGO Recruitment in Margate, Kent is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver / Loader (Dustcart) for an ongoing temporary assignment. You will drive a Class 2 dustcart on planned routes, collect household waste and recycling, and support the Environmental Services team.

The role offers £16.59+ per hour, enhanced overtime and Bank Holiday rates, weekly pay, holiday pay, a company pension and free onsite parking. Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply, with full UK Class 2 and CPC required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (Cat C) Driving Licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC is required to operate the vehicle safely.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card is required for records.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 dustcart on planned routes.
• Collect household waste and recycling on assigned routes.
• Assist with loading duties and perform daily vehicle safety checks.
• Work as part of a professional collection crew.

Hourly Rate: £16.59+ per hour (plus enhanced overtime & Bank Holiday rates)

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts between 06:00 - 20:00, Sunday to Saturday

We're recruiting HGV Class 2 Driver / Loaders to join a busy Environmental Services team in Margate, Kent. This is a fantastic ongoing opportunity with excellent pay, early starts, and the chance to be part of an essential frontline service.

Your Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) dustcart
• Collect household waste and recycling on planned routes
• Support local Environmental Services, including:
  • Waste & Recycling
  • Beach Cleansing
  • Street Cleansing
• Assist with loading duties (physically active role)
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks
• Work as part of a professional collection crew

What You'll Need

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good level of physical fitness
• Previous waste industry experience is beneficial but not essential
• Newly qualified Class 2 drivers welcome!
