About the Role

LATE SHIFT

The Role

To drive safely whilst undertaking refuse collection service. To represent the company to a good standard ensuring work is completed maintaining customer service standards.

Main Purpose

• To carry out duties in a productive manner.
• To ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
• To ensure routes are completed efficiently.
• To drive in a safe and economical manner.

Main Tasks and Activities

• Interpret and follow legislation related to the road traffic acts as far as is reasonably practicable.
• Perform duties professionally and with a customer-focused approach.
• Accurately record your work using a tablet.
• Ensure all bins are weighed accurately.
• Leave customer premises tidy, and bins returned.
• Communicate effectively with the Administration team.
• Report near misses or accidents promptly.
• Wear work-issued PPE appropriately.
• Be flexible to work on various routes as required.
• Be available to work weekends and Bank Holidays as needed.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as required.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum HGV Class 2 license
• Customer service experience
• Knowledge of the Waste Industry
• Knowledge of tachograph legislation
• Ability to drive (or willingness to be trained) on all vehicles, including Trade Waste, FEL, Moffat.
