Job Description

Location: Cadishead (Lanstar)

Salary: Up to £40,000

Role Type: Full-time, permanent

Hours: 48 hours per week average

Role Accountabilities

• Collecting hazardous & non-hazardous waste in a Class 1 curtain-sided/tail lift vehicle.
• Cover provided for Class 1 vehicle and drag unit.
• Daily duties will involve some heavy lifting, including lifting of drums (up to 25 kg) and moving pallets using a pump truck.
• Working together with our transport depot to ensure excellent service is delivered to our long serving customers.
• Visiting our commercial customer premises, collecting industrial waste.

Person Specification

The Candidate

• HGV Class 1 Driver
• CPC qualification
• Previous relevant driving experience
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service
• High level of written and mathematical skills, as there will be paperwork involved
• A flexible approach to the role
• ADR Licence is an advantage but not essential as training can be given.
• Experience of working in the waste sector
• Maths and English GSCE minimum requirement
