Job summary

Aurora Energy Services is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative to provide a safe, reliable transport service supporting our fabrication operations in Huntly. You will deliver and collect materials across company facilities, ensure compliant loading and secure loads, and support production teams with logistics tasks.

The role requires a valid UK Cat C licence with CPC/DQC, knowledge of vehicle safety and daily inspections, and strong communication and organisational

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence including Category C and Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety and daily walk‑around inspections.
• Practical knowledge of safe loading and load restraint requirements.
• Ability to check goods against delivery/collection documentation accurately.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect materials, fabricated items, equipment, and goods between facilities, suppliers, client premises, and other locations.
• Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with legal requirements.
• Check goods against delivery/collection documentation and ensure loads are secured.
• Support Materials, Production and Project teams with general logistics tasks.
• Assist with movement and organisation of materials and equipment within the facility.
• Maintain communication with the Materials Supervisor and other staff regarding transport needs.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative to provide a safe, reliable and efficient transport service supporting the day-to-day operations of our fabrication business line in Huntly.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivery and collection of materials, fabricated items, equipment and other goods between company facilities, suppliers, client premises and other locations as required.
• Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in accordance with all legal requirements.
• Ensuring that goods are correctly checked prior to transport, loads are suitably restrained and secured, and all associated delivery documentation and records are completed accurately and promptly.
• Supporting the Materials, Production and Project teams with general logistics activities as required.
• Assist with the movement and organisation of materials and equipment within the facility.
• Maintain good communication with the Materials Supervisor and other personnel regarding daily transport requirements and priorities.
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate changing collection and delivery requirements.
• Maintain a professional standard of conduct whilst representing the company.
• Carry out other reasonable logistics and transport-related duties as appropriate to the role.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, valid UK driving licence, to include Category C.
• Current, valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) and Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and daily walk‑around inspection requirements.
• Practical knowledge of safe loading and load restraint/security requirements.
