Job summary

Aurora Energy Services in Huntly is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative to provide a safe and efficient transport service supporting our fabrication operations. You will handle deliveries and collections, ensure legal vehicle operation, and maintain accurate loading and delivery records.

The role requires a valid UK Cat C licence, Driver CPC, and solid knowledge of load restraint and safe loading practices.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Cat C entitlement
• Current Driver CPC and Driver Qualification Card
• Knowledge of daily vehicle safety checks

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect materials between company facilities, suppliers and client sites
• Ensure vehicles are operated safely and legally
• Check goods against delivery/collection docs and secure loads
• Support logistics with general activities for materials, production and projects
• Assist with movement and organisation of materials within the facility
• Maintain communication with Materials Supervisor on transport requirements
• Be flexible to changing collection/delivery needs
• Represent the company with a professional conduct
• Carry out other reasonable logistics duties as required

Job description

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative to provide a safe, reliable and efficient transport service supporting the day-to-day operations of our fabrication business line in Huntly.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Delivery and collection of materials, fabricated items, equipment and other goods between company facilities, suppliers, client premises and other locations as required.
• Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in accordance with all legal requirements.
• Ensuring that goods are correctly checked prior to transport, loads are suitably restrained and secured, and all associated delivery documentation and records are completed accurately and promptly.
• Supporting the Materials, Production and Project teams with general logistics activities as required.
• Assist with the movement and organisation of materials and equipment within the facility.
• Maintain good communication with the Materials Supervisor and other personnel regarding daily transport requirements and priorities.
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate changing collection and delivery requirements.
• Maintain a professional standard of conduct whilst representing the company.
• Carry out other reasonable logistics and transport-related duties as appropriate to the role.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current, valid UK driving licence, to include Category C.
• Current, valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) and Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and daily walk-around inspection requirements.
• Practical knowledge of safe loading and load restraint/security requirements.
• Ability to accurately check goods against delivery and collection documentation.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
