Job summary

The Best Connection Goole is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our client’s established transport team in Howden. You’ll handle palletised goods with straightforward operations, working regular daytime hours on a long-term basis with potential to go permanent.

The role offers temp-to-perm progression, supportive team, and reliable, stable work with a focus on safety and customer service. Training and ongoing support are provided by The Best Connection team.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence (C) required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Pallet or multi-drop experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a 5-year background/criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out bulk collections of palletised goods safely and efficiently.
• Complete vehicle checks, paperwork, and delivery notes accurately.
• Load and unload goods (all palletised for ease).
• Provide professional customer service and represent the company well.
• Keep the vehicle clean and maintained to legal standards.

Pay Rate: £19.01 per hour

Overtime: £28.52 per hour (after 45 hours per week)

Your Main Duties

• Carry out bulk collections of palletised goods safely and efficiently
• Complete vehicle checks, paperwork, and delivery notes accurately
• Load and unload goods (all palletised for ease)
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
• Keep your vehicle clean and maintained to legal standards

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience with pallet or multi-drop work (preferred)
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated individual
• Able to pass a 5-year background check and criminal record check
