Job summary

Veolia on the Isle of Wight is hiring a Class 2 refuse driver. The role covers collecting waste from household waste recycling centres and transporting it to our facilities, with a 36.75-hour week and a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern from 09:00 to 20:00 (30 minutes unpaid).

You will work with one of the UK's largest fleets, perform daily vehicle checks, comply with traffic laws, and complete all load documentation accurately. To qualify you need a Cat C (Class 2) licence, current CPC and Digi Card.

Qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) licence and previous experience.
• Must have a current CPC and Digi Card.

Responsibilities

• Collecting waste from our household waste recycling centres and depositing it into our facilities, predominantly via a roll-on, roll-off vehicle.
• Collecting waste from our facilities and delivering it for further processing.
• Undertake the necessary daily checks (e.g. oil, water, tyres).
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation relating to your duties, including the security and weight of loads.
• Assist with other parts of the operation as and when required.
• Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
