The Best Connection is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm position in Bury. The role involves multi-drop deliveries with approximately 25% driving and 75% picking and manual handling on the back of the truck.

Starting times are early, with DBS checks required for this client role. Ongoing work leads to potential permanent employment, and immediate starts are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Comfortable with manual handling, picking and pallet breakdown.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to customers across the daily delivery route.

We are currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) HGV Drivers on behalf of a well-established wholesaler based in Bury.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable and hardworking drivers looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Please note: This role involves approximately 25% driving and 75% picking and manual handling on the back of the truck. It is not a driving-only position.

The Role

• Multi-drop deliveries to customers across the daily delivery route.
• Approximately 25% driving and 75% picking and handling goods on the back of the truck.
• Breaking down pallets and manually handling goods at delivery points.
• Providing excellent customer service to customers.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.

Pay Rate

£15.80 per hour

Start Times

Start times are between 04:00 and 06:00, depending on the daily delivery route.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
