Job summary

CT Glass Ltd is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver for on-site work in Bradford. You will transport glass products safely to customers, perform checks, and assist with unloading using lorry-mounted FLT where required.

The role requires valid HGV Class C with CPC, safe driving, and strong communication to liaise with customers and the operations team. Full-time, on-site position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

The business serves a diverse customer base, including specialist installers, construction companies, glazing companies, and architects. CT Glass supplies both bespoke and standard products for high- and low-volume orders.

Role Description

This is a full-time job, on-site HGV Class 2 Driver role based in Bradford. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting glass products to customers and sites, following planned routes and schedules. Daily tasks include performing vehicle checks, ensuring loads are safely secured and glass checked, and assisting with unloading at delivery locations when required using our lorry mounted forklift trucks. The role involves maintaining accurate delivery documentation, complying with transport and safety regulations, and communicating professionally with customers and the operations team. The driver will also support warehouse and loading activities as needed to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Strong truck driving experience and safe handling of HGV/Class 2 vehicles.
• Knowledge of DOT and transport regulations and commitment to compliance.
• Experience if possible with loading and unloading goods using lorry mounted FLT's.
• Valid HGV Class C licence, CPC and clean driving record.
• Good spatial awareness and attention to detail for securing and protecting glass products.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours to meet delivery schedules.
• Effective communication skills and professional customer service attitude.
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills for delivery notes and vehicle logs.
• Physical ability to assist with some manual handling tasks when required, following safe lifting practices.
• Previous experience in delivering to construction, glazing, or related industries is an advantage.
