Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking Class 2 HGV drivers for a Welham Green based client. The role involves single manned deliveries of glass products to client sites, managing end-to-end delivery with signed paperwork, and ensuring loads are secure with routine vehicle checks. A positive, customer-focused approach is essential for delivering to clients and customers.

Shifts start early (04:00–05:00) from Monday to Friday, with a guaranteed minimum of 8 paid hours per day. The rate is £17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience.
• Clean licence with no points or offences.

Responsibilities

• Single manned deliveries of products to clients and customers.
• Managing the delivery process from site to customer, including paperwork signed off from deliveries.
• Ensuring your load is safe and secure, with vehicle checks completed.
• Maintain a positive manner when delivering to clients and customers.

Job description

Our client based in Welham Green, is looking to strengthen its busy delivery team. They are looking for Class 2 drivers to help assist the operational needs of the business delivering glass. Minimum HGV driving experience required is 12 months and clean licence with no points or offences.

HGV Class 2 - Main duties will include:

• Single manned deliveries of the products to clients and customers
• Managing the delivery process from site to customer, including paperwork signed off from deliveries
• Ensuring your load is safe and secure, with vehicle checks completed
• Positive manner as delivering to clients and customers
• Products delivered could be single and double glazed glass

HGV Class 2 - Shifts:

• Start times could be 04:00am or 05:00am
• Monday to Friday

HGV Class 2 - Hourly pay Rates:

• Pay rate is £17.00/per hour
• Minimum of 8 hours paid guaranteed per day
