Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a client in Portishead, near the football club, for a stable, ongoing role with multi-drop deliveries across Bristol and surrounding areas.

The position is temp-to-perm, with the potential to become permanent after 13 weeks, subject to passing probation.

Hours are a 39-hour basic week, Mon-Thu 7:00am-4:45pm, Fri 7:00am-3:45pm, with overtime paid at time and a half when you start at 07:00 before converting.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle walk-around checks
• Strapping and securing loads
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Approximately 8-10 deliveries per day
• Deliveries across Bristol, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire
• Forklift handling majority of load/unload

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Portishead, near the football club.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to become permanent after 13 weeks, subject to successfully passing probation. (New passes are welcome)

PAY & HOURS

• £16 per hour
• 39-hour basic working week
• Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-4:45pm
• Friday: 7:00am-3:45pm
• 1 hour overtime per day paid at time and a half for when you start at 07:00am when you go permanent.
• Earlier starts may be required during busier periods
• Temp-to-perm opportunity

THE ROLE

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Vehicle walk-around checks
• Strapping and securing loads
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Approximately 8-10 deliveries per day
• Deliveries across Bristol, Gloucester, Somerset and Wiltshire
• Very, little handball, as you are dealing with steel the majority of load/unload completed by forklift
