Job summary

HG Recruitment is currently recruiting reliable HGV Class 2 drivers for port-to-port work in Portbury, Bristol. The role covers multi-drop deliveries and two-person runs with a Driver’s Mate, with day shifts starting at 05:00 and an expectation of ongoing work.

You must hold a valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, no more than six points, and a solid understanding of drivers hours and Working Time rules.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six points on licence for minor endorsements.
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and Working Time rules.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to complete multi-drop deliveries and manual handling.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries.
• Two-person deliveries with a Driver’s Mate.
• Average shifts of 8–10 hours.
• Day shifts starting at 05:00.
• Minimum eight paid hours per shift.
• Ongoing work.

Days | Immediate starts

Pay Rates:

• Days £18.07 p/h
• Nights £19.10 p/h
• Overtime days £27.10 p/h
• Bank Holiday £27.10 p/h
  
• Overtime nights £23.95 p/h

The role

• Multi-drop deliveries
• Two-person deliveries alongside a Drivers Mate
  
• Average shifts of 810 hours
• Day shifts starting at 05:00
• Minimum eight paid hours per shift
• Ongoing work
• Manual handling required
  
• The first 45-minute break is unpaid
