Job summary

Jewson Rotherham is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver to deliver building materials to customers with a professional approach. You will load/unload, operate a crane, and support team members as required.

The role covers a cluster of branches including Sheffield and Barnsley, with a fully funded induction and opportunities for progression. 34 days of holiday, pension, life assurance, and staff discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card.
• Familiarity with multi-drop is useful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers in a professional manner.
• Load and unload goods at branches and customer sites.
• Operate the vehicle-mounted crane within safe operating procedures.
• Cover absence within a designated area (Rotherham, including Sheffield and Barnsley).

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Rotherham branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Sheffield and Barnsley

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it's not a necessity
