Job summary

GMS International Resources is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for plant equipment collections and deliveries based near Oxfordshire (OX14). The role involves safe loading, secure transportation and professional customer handovers.

You will drive an HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle, hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and work Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 16:00. Prior plant equipment deliveries are advantageous, with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence.
• Must hold CPC qualification.
• Must hold a Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver.
• Experience with plant equipment deliveries desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• Professional attitude and customer service skills.
• Strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Collect and deliver plant and access equipment to customer sites.
• Complete deliveries and collections with accuracy and on time.
• Load and secure equipment safely.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after journeys.
• Complete delivery paperwork and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery/collection points.
• Ensure loads are transported safely and securely.
• Coordinate with transport and operations teams.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle.
• Comply with transport, health & safety and traffic regulations.

Salary: £18 - £19 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 16:00pm

Driving Licence: HGV Class 2 / Category C

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of plant equipment and access equipment to customers and sites.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
• Collecting and delivering plant and access equipment
• Completing deliveries and collections to customer sites
• Loading and securing equipment safely
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Completing delivery paperwork and documentation
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Ensuring all loads are transported safely and securely
• Working closely with the transport and operations team
• Maintaining a clean and professional vehicle
• Complying with all relevant transport, health & safety and road traffic regulations

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

06:00am - 16:00pm

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a professional and dependable HGV Class 2 Driver who takes pride in their work and has a strong focus on safety and customer service.

You should have:

• A valid HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence
• A valid CPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver
• Previous experience with plant equipment, construction equipment, access equipment or machinery deliveries is desirable
• Good knowledge of UK roads
• A professional attitude and good customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your daily deliveries and collections
• Good communication skills
• A strong safety awareness
