Job summary
DHL, an award-winning leader in supply chain solutions, is looking for a HGV Class 2 Dray Driver in Ipswich to join our team. This is a customer-facing role with a great social element, perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships while delivering excellent service.
You will work a Monday–Friday pattern with early starts and a few Saturdays, delivering alcohol to pubs, restaurants and hotels, handling 10–12 drops daily, and working with a Driver's Mate to support unloading and PODs,
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (C) Licence – Essential.
- Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card – Essential.
- No more than 6 penalty points – Essential.
- Multi-drop HGV driving experience – Desirable.
- Dray or similar delivery experience – Desirable.
Responsibilities
- Delivering alcoholic products to pubs, restaurants and hotels.
- Completing 10–12 drops per day.
- Managing manual handling of up to 11 tonnes of stock daily.
- Driving safely and efficiently within Drivers' Hours regulations.
- Maintaining Health & Safety, road safety laws and vehicle regulations.
- Working with a Driver's Mate to support unloading and PODs.
- Keeping the transport team updated.
