Job summary

Bestway Group is hiring an HGV / Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our local delivery team. You will serve independent retailers, ensuring on-time deliveries and high standards of customer service within a fast-paced operation.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 UK licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card. You will work with the depot team, handle stock, and maintain vehicle safety while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph card are required.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and knowledge of the local area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load orders with the depot team to ensure correct delivery.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries within local area and on time.
• Handle stock safely and record paperwork accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain transport compliance and provide excellent customer service.

We currently have an opportunity for an HGV / Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our team. You will be delivering to a wide variety of independent retailers within the local area, ensuring that they receive their orders in a timely manner and experience fantastic customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the depot team to ensure all orders are loaded for delivery correctly.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area and within specified timeframes on a daily basis.
• Manual handling of stock on and off your vehicle.
• Ensure all deliveries are received correctly and payment is received.
• Ensure accurate recording of paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Ensure all transport compliance requirements are met at all times.
• Provide the highest level of service to our customers at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of health and safety and ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
• Ensure the vehicle, stock and equipment are secure at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in multi-drop driving.
• Good knowledge of the local area.
• Good understanding of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively and independently under pressure.
• Flexible approach to working hours as delivery round times may vary depending on workload.
• A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
• The ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
• Initiative along with the willingness to learn and develop their skills.
• Drive and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
