Job summary

Pertemps Reading is seeking a HGV Class 2 ADR driver to operate in Thame, Oxfordshire. This permanent role offers a basic salary with progression based on length of service and the option for overtime and shifts across the week.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries of gas cylinders, maintain vehicle safety, and handle occasional forklift/crane loading with full training provided. A strong safety focus and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 qualification held for 2 years minimum
• Licence endorsements - Max 6 Points, minor offences only no CU80s
• A driver CPC is required
• ADR (Class 2 in packages)
• Excellent customer service
• Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers
• Having a high level of personal integrity suits to your profile
• Undertake a basic DBS check along with a Drug & Alcohol / medical test

Responsibilities

• Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations as directed by the client
• Multi dropping approximately 15-20 drops per day delivering gas cylinders to customers
• Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of vehicle allocated
• Where necessary, operate specialist equipment such as forklift trucks and cranes to load and unload vehicles (full training provided)
• Using safe manual handling techniques when delivering and collecting cylinders to and from customer sites

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-07:00 start times, 46hrs per wk

Contract & Pay

Contract: Permanent
Pay: £46,123 pa basic salary rising to £57,653 (based on Length of service)
