Job summary

Pertemps Reading is recruiting for a HGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver to join a leading gas company in Thame, Oxfordshire. The role covers 46 hours per week with early start times and a permanent contract.

You will undertake 15-20 drops daily to customers, ensuring vehicle readiness and safety. Training is provided for forklift/crane operations, with paid breaks and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 qualification held for 2 years minimum.
• Licence endorsements - Max 6 Points, minor offences only.
• A driver CPC is required.
• ADR (Class 2 in packages).
• Excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• DBS check and Drug & Alcohol/medical test.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations as directed by the client.
• Multi dropping approximately 15-20 drops per day delivering gas cylinders to customers.
• Ensuring vehicle roadworthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness.
• Operate forklift trucks or cranes to load/unload when required (training provided).
• Use safe manual handling techniques delivering and collecting cylinders.

HGV Class 2 ADR - Cylinder delivery driver

Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for HGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Drivers to work for one of the most prestigious Gas companies in the UK.

Location: Thame, Oxfordshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-07:00 start times, 46hrs per wk

Contract: Permanent

Pay: £46,123 pa basic salary rising to £57,653 (based on Length of service)

Breaks: Paid

As the HGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver your duties will include:

• Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations as directed by the client
• Multi dropping approximately 15-20 drops per day delivering gas cylinders to customers
• Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of vehicle allocated
• Where necessary, operate specialist equipment such as forklift trucks and cranes to load and unload vehicles (full training provided)
• Using safe manual handling techniques when delivering and collecting cylinders to and from customer sites

Requirements:

• HGV Class 2 qualification held for 2 years minimum
• Licence endorsements - Max 6 Points, minor offences only no CU80s
• A driver CPC is required
• ADR (Class 2 in packages)
• Excellent customer service
• Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers
• Havinga high level of personal integrity suits to your profile
• Undertake a basic DBS check along with a Drug & Alcohol / medical test
