Job summary

Pertemps Reading seeks an HGV Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver based in Thame, delivering gas cylinders to around 15–20 customers daily. The role runs Monday to Friday with early start times, totaling 46 hours per week. Requires ADR Class 2, CPC, and a clean driving record. Attractive pay progression and paid breaks are included.

The position offers full training, potential weekend allowances, and a strong pension scheme. DBS check and drug/alcohol testing may be required.

Qualifications

HGV Class 2 qualification held for 2 years minimum.
Licence endorsements - Max 6 Points, minor offences only, no CU80s.
A driver CPC is required.
ADR (Class 2 in packages)
Excellent customer service
Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations
Ability to interact with internal and external customers
High level of personal integrity
DBS check and Drug & Alcohol/medical test may be required

Responsibilities

Multi-drop deliveries of gas cylinders to customers (approx. 15–20 drops per day).
Maintain roadworthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of vehicle.
Load/unload with forklift or cranes where required (full training provided).
Adhere to Health & Safety and client requirements during deliveries.
