Job summary

Pertemps Bridgwater is seeking HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Drivers for Yeovil on a temp-to-perm basis. You will deliver and collect across the South West, providing a professional and reliable service at every customer interaction. This role suits experienced drivers or newly qualified Class 2 drivers building commercial experience.

Average 42 hours per week with 4 on, 2 off shifts, including weekends. Start times between 04:00–07:00 or 12:00–16:00.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (CAT C) driving licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect from customers across the service area.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional representative of the company.
• Build positive relationships with customers through a friendly and reliable approach.
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, vehicle regulations and the Highway Code.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Complete all relevant delivery and collection documentation.

Location: Yeovil

Pay: £17.22 per hour

Hours: Average 42 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 2 off, including weekends

Start Times: AM 04:00-07:00 | PM 12:00-16:00

Due to continued growth and additional customers, we are looking for HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Drivers to join our client in Yeovil on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity, offering ongoing work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the company following a successful temporary period.

You will be responsible for delivering and collecting from customers across the South West, providing a professional, friendly and reliable service at every customer interaction.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced HGV drivers, as well as newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to build their commercial driving experience.

Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply. Previous van driving experience and strong customer service skills are essential for newly qualified applicants, as the role involves regular customer interaction and driving to multiple locations.
