Job summary

Amour Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work with our client, a leading distributor of tools, hardware and trade supplies, based in Totton. This role involves early starts and multi-drop deliveries to trade customers, with a professional and hands-on approach expected.

You will drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle, load/unload goods, follow planned routes, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience; multi-drop desirable.
• Reliable, punctual and able to start at 4:00am.
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.
• Physically capable of handling deliveries as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle to perform multi-drop deliveries.
• Deliver tools, hardware and trade supplies to business customers.
• Follow planned routes and schedules.
• Load/unload goods safely and complete delivery paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Maintain high standards of road safety and compliance.

Amour Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work with our client, a leading distributor of tools, hardware and trade supplies, based in Totton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, professional driver who enjoys a hands-on role, early starts and multi-drop deliveries to trade customers.

Our client supplies a wide range of products to retailers, merchants and trade businesses, including hand and power tools, fixings, hardware, workwear, safety equipment and other essential trade supplies. The role plays an important part in ensuring customers receive their orders safely, efficiently and on time.

The Role

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries.
• Delivering tools, hardware and trade supplies to business customers.
• Following planned delivery routes and schedules.
• Loading, unloading and handling goods safely.
• Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery where required.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Maintaining high standards of road safety and compliance.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Has a valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Has previous HGV Class 2 driving experience; multi-drop experience is desirable.
• Is reliable, punctual and comfortable with 4:00am starts.
• Has a good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.
• Is physically capable of handling deliveries as required.
• Has a professional attitude and good customer service skills.
