Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Lutterworth area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join on weekends. Shifts include weekend day, night, and twilight with early starts between 04:00 and 06:00, plus a 01:00 night shift and 14:00 twilight slot.

Pay rates are £15.11/hour PAYE for days, £16.92/hour for nights and £16.02/hour for twilight. Ongoing with potential permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Cat C).
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
• Maintain safe driving practices and accurate documentation.
• Complete 1 to 2 runs during the day.
• Assist with loading/unloading using tail lift and pump truck.
• Engage with customers professionally on behalf of the company.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Lutterworth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on weekends.

Shifts:

• Weekend Day Drivers - predominately Sunday but potential for Saturdays.
• Start times between 04:00am - 06:00am
• Night shift 01:00am
• Twilight shift 14:00pm

Pay Rate:

• Class 2 Days- £15.11 per hour PAYE
• Class 2 Nights - £16.92 per hour PAYE
• Class 2 Twilight - £16.02 Per hour PAYE

Location: Lutterworth, LE17

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
• Emphasizing safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.
• Typically completing 1 to 2 runs during the day.
• Drivers will need to contribute to the loading and unloading of the vehicle, utilising a tail lift and pump truck.
• Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Have proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
