Job summary

Solvit Recruitment are seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for a leading importer and distributor of food and ingredients. Location is Loughborough; role starts with 13 weeks temp to perm after a successful probation period.

Typical shift times are 07:00–10:00 starts with 16:00–18:00 finishes. Expect 42 hours per week, with routes delivering to restaurants across the UK, some days with a driver’s mate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on license and no ban in last 5 years.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to restaurants across the UK.
• Average 10–14 deliveries per route with a driver's mate on most runs.

Job description

Solvit Recruitment are looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver.

This is not a Christmas role.

After a successful 13 weeks temp to perm, you will be offered a full time position.

Location: Loughborough.

Solvit recruitment is currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to work with a leading Specialist Importer and Distributor of food and ingredients, who are currently looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver.

HGV Class 2 you will average 10 - 14 deliveries on your route, majority of the routes you will have a drivers mate, you will be delivering to restaurants in UK, this is a physical and manual role where you will be handballing into premises.

Start times between 07:00 - 10:00 with finish times between 16:00 - 18:00.

All depending on the run.

You will have minimum 6 Months HGV Class 2 driving experience; you will have no more than 6 points and not served a ban in the last 5 years.

You will have excellent customer service skills, as you will build relationships with your customers.

This role is Monday to Friday.

Average hours 42 per week this may go up or down.

Rate of Pay.

Monday to Friday £650.00 per week

Requirements.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Previous multi-driving experience.
• Due to Insurance, you will be 25+.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication oral and written.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• 6 Months HGV Class 1 experience.
• No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years.
