Job summary

Smart Solutions is recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers for a new opportunity in Bridgwater. You will drive a refuse collection vehicle on residential routes, working with a small team and assisting with manual handling.

New pass drivers welcome and no prior refuse driving experience is required. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday with day shifts; there is a temp-to-perm path after ~10 weeks and a potential £5,000 joining bonus after six months, subject to terms.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 / LGV Cat C licence required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive refuse collection vehicle on residential routes.
• Work with a two-loader team.
• Assist with waste collection and manual handling.

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:15am-2:45pm (overtimes also available)

PAY RATES

• Monday-Friday: £18.50 per hour (first 40 hours)
• Overtime after 40 hours: £27.75 per hour
• Saturday: £27.75 per hour
• Sunday: £37.00 per hour

Smart Solutions is recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a new opportunity with our client in Bridgwater.

you'll drive a refuse collection vehicle (RCV) on residential household waste collection routes, working alongside a team of two loaders. This is an active, hands-on role, so you'll need to be comfortable assisting with waste collection and manual handling.
